Reach your full potential at LHS
We’ve created a supportive, inclusive learning environment that nurtures individual growth and personal success, so that every 16–18-year-old who steps through our doors feels that sense of belonging and can thrive.
Students benefit from:
- Smaller group sizes – on average 10–15 students per class
- A dedicated and specialist Sixth Form tutor for Year 12 and 13
- Team sports and wellbeing activities as a year group (Wellbeing Wednesday afternoons), plus access to all in-school wellbeing services
- A range of extra-curricular opportunities including the Duke of Edinburgh award through to local and foreign travel opportunities
To help our Sixth Form students take their next steps we offer:
- Specific support for UCAS applications, as well as specific support for those aspiring to Oxford, Cambridge, Russell Group and Sutton Trust Universities
- Support and guidance on apprenticeship schemes / alternative post-18 opportunities
- Support for the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate Skills Challenge Certificate
