QUALIFICATION – City and Guilds Level 1 Certificate in An Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector

For 13–14-year-olds in Year 9, who are interested in developing vocational skills in the Hairdressing/Beauty industry.

You will complete a Level 1 Certificate which will enable you to receive Knowledge and understanding of the sectors and the vocational skills required. Thus, helping you to reach a level of knowledge and skills, which will facilitate progress in the vocational training sectors.

005 – Create an Image using colour for the hair and beauty sector
111 – Colour hair using temporary colour

108 – Nail art application
109 – Providing basic manicure treatment
113 – Follow health and safety in the salon

LEARNING PATHWAY
Learners may progress on to the following City and Guilds qualifications delivered in Year 10/11:
Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Hair Services

QUALIFICATION – Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Hair Services

For 14-16 years old, year 10 through to year 11. It is an exciting opportunity to develop vocational skills and work towards understanding employment within the Hairdressing sector.
It will provide in depth knowledge of the sectors and you will also cover a range of practical treatments that are commonly offered throughout the industry.
