You will need to contact your Head of Year, in the first instance, to resolve any issues relating to accessing your grades.

Review and Appeals Process

Step 1 – PROVISIONAL RESULTS

A provisional centre determined grade will be provided electronically for all WJEC subjects on Friday 18th June 2021. Please note that there are no provisional results for the following qualifications as results for these qualifications are only provided on 10th/12th August 2021:

  • BTECs
  • Level 2 Applied Maths
  • Level 3 Criminology and Level 3 Medical Science
  • Vocational Awards - Hospitality and Catering
  • Alternative Pathways eg Equality & Diversity, LIBF, Princes Trust etc

Step 2 – LEARNER DECISION MAKING RECORD

If you consider that an error has been made which has a material effect on the accuracy of one or more of your provisional centre determined grades, then you can request a copy of the Learner Decision Making Record (LDMR) for the affected subject(s) using this form [hyperlink]. The deadline for receipt of any Learner Request for LDMR forms is 11am on Tuesday 22nd June 2021.

Step 3 – CENTRE REVIEW REQUEST

Following receipt of your LDMR, if you still consider that an error has been made then you can request that we review the information to check for errors, using the Centre Review Request Form here [hyperlink]. You must provide a brief and clear explanation of the error you believe has occurred. Please note that your provisional grade could go down, up, or stay the same as the result of a centre conducting a review.

The review process opens on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 and the deadline for completed Centre Review Forms is 3pm on Tuesday 29th June 2021. You will receive our decision in writing.

Step 4 – WJEC APPEAL

If you do not agree with our decision, there is no further internal centre review stage. The escalation is to the WJEC stage 2 appeal, using this form [hyperlink].

The timetable for priority appeals (those for which a higher education place is pending) is 10th to 23rd August 2021. If this applies to you, you must include your UCAS personal identifier reference number, otherwise the WJEC will not treat your application as a priority. The timetable for non-priority appeals is 10th August to 17th September 2021.
