Staff and pupils of Llanishen High set out to work as a community to give back to the less fortunate.
We have done this as we fully understand that life comes with sets of challenges and we are not naive to think that all problems can be solved alone. We all need a helping hand at times and this was a nice way for us to offer that hand, to the homeless, to keep them just a bit warmer, cleaner and with a bit more food in their bellies this winter.
The donations were over whelming and all in all the homeless were supported in many ways.
Lidl collected trolleys of food which we donated to the samaratons.
All donations to the school were dropped at Grangetown church to be dispersed to the 7 churches who house homeless over the winter.
Miss Norrington and the choir raised £300 for Huggards.
The own clothes day raised hundred to be donated to The Wallich centre.
We tried to support as many branches of the homeless community as we could and to great success.
Well done everybody!
