We are fortunate enough to have considerable land here at Llanishen High School. As a consequence we offer 3 soccer pitches, 2 rugby pitches, a cricket oval and a red-gra area.

We also have an indoor tennis hut with 3 courts, 2 small gymnasiums and a barn (in desperate need of a face-lift).

In terms of long-term development we are one day hoping to transform the red-gra into an all-weather astroturf and making the barn into a multi-purpose sports hall. Any keen investors or sponsors please get in touch!!

YEAR 11 PHYSICAL EDUCATION
COURSEWORK DEADLINES

1ST DRAFT	TO BE HANDED IN THE WEEK BEGINNING MONDAY 30TH NOVEMBER- FRIDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2009
1ST DRAFT MARKED AND GIVEN BACK TO PUPILS DURING THE MOCK EXAMINATION PERIOD
FINAL DRAFT	TO BE HANDED IN THE WEEK BEGINNING MONDAY 11TH JANUARY TO FRIDAY 15TH JANUARY 2010
THIS WILL BE MARKED IN PREPARATION FOR YEAR 11 REPORTS ON THURSDAY 21ST JANUARY 2010

1. If pupils miss the 1st draft deadline, their work will not be marked and they will miss out on the opportunity to improve their work, by receiving valuable feedback from staff.

2. If pupils miss the final draft deadline, they will automatically lose 10% of their GCSE mark.

3. Extensions on these two dates will only be given for special circumstances with letters being provided from parents/guardian.

Each year we as a department organise many events to help raise much needed funds & also to showcase the talent we are fortunate enough to have. The main focus is through the School 5K Fun Run, The Annual Presentation Evening, Sports Day & The Senior Sports Dinner.

Throughout the year we also run a huge amount of trips & tours. See the relevant menu option for further details.

Year 10 Boys Soccer Trip to New York: This trip is gathering momentum. We only have a few places left - if you are keen then get your forms in as soon as possible!

Welsh Cup Soccer Updates: U18's Boys will play either Gowerton or Amman Valley & the U16's will play either Morriston or Brynmawr.

Italia 2009: Captains are in the process of being picked - teams will be announced shortly!

Year 11 GCSE: Coursework should now be in. If you have any external sporting activities you should also be gathering your video evidence. Next month is the moderation!!
